Scoutmaster Conference

  1. Email (or have your parent email) the Scoutmaster to request a Scoutmaster Conference.
  2. Please don’t wait until the last minute or expect a Scoutmaster conference the day you’re asking for it. One week lead time is preferred, but ask at least a couple of days in advance of the Troop Meeting. You are welcome to ask in person at the Troop Meeting for a Scoutmaster Conference the following week, but be sure to follow-up with an email. There’s usually a lot going on at Troop Meetings and your email will serve as a friendly reminder of your request.
  3. The Scoutmaster will reply with a proposed day and time for your conference.
  4. Confirm by email that you accept the proposed time.
  5. If it’s a Scoutmaster Conference for rank advancement, come prepared to discuss the work you’ve done toward that rank. If it’s a conference for some other purpose, try to give the Scoutmaster an idea of what you would like to talk about.
  6. Arrive in your full Class A PLUS (Class A with neckerchief) uniform at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled meeting time.
  7. The number of Scoutmaster Conferences that can be accommodated in a single Troop Meeting is up to the Scoutmaster. This can vary from meeting to meeting depending on what’s planned.
  8. And please be flexible. The time you’re scheduled for may need to change for any number of reasons. If you’re promised a Scoutmaster Conference, we will make every effort to fit it in on the night you’re scheduled.
  9. Show good Scouting spirit!
